How to Export Amazon Reviews to CSV or Excel

1. Confirm the product and country site

Start from the public product URL and record its country site. Amazon.ae and Amazon.com are different inputs. Do not assume that access on one country site proves access on another, or that every product exposes the same review depth.

2. Decide which fields you need

Keep the original review text, title, rating, published date, verified-purchase flag, source URL and locale when available. Keep a missing field empty rather than replacing it with an inferred value. Use a separate theme column for your own analysis so the original wording stays intact.

3. Inspect the export summary before analysis

4. Open CSV or XLSX and preserve the source

Use CSV when you need a plain table for another tool; use XLSX when you prefer an Excel workbook. Import text as UTF-8 when opening a CSV so non-English review text remains readable. Check dates and text fields after import rather than assuming spreadsheet auto-formatting preserved them.

Filter by rating or your own themes, read the original wording and keep the source URL alongside each row. If an export is partial, do not present the sample's complaint frequency as the complaint rate for all buyers.

A small completeness example

Illustrative example: a listing displays 2,000 reviews, an export returns 80 rows, and deduplication leaves 75. The usable file has 75 retained rows; it does not establish coverage of all 2,000 reviews. If the source stops exposing additional pages, retain the partial state instead of calling the file complete.
